This unique postcard set collects 100 designs from 10 decades of artful, thought-provoking covers from The New Yorker. From the very first issue, the now iconic monocled dandy Eustace Tilley made The New Yorker's covers unique and pointed. These signature traits have continued to the present day in striking and sometimes controversial covers from such artists as Barry Blitt, Roz Chast, Ana Juan, Maira Kalman, Anita Kunz, Jean-Jacques Sempé, Art Spiegelman, Saul Steinberg, Adrian Tomine, and Chris Ware. Selected by Françoise Mouly.

The New Yorker was launched in 1925, offering reporting, criticism, essays, fiction, poetry, humour, and cartoons. They’ve published great literature in the form of short stories from such acclaimed writers as Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, John Cheever, Louise Erdrich, Shirley Jackson, Jhumpa Lahiri, Alice Munro, Haruki Murakami, Vladimir Nabokov, J. D. Salinger, and Zadie Smith.
