The Library's Beaux-Arts building on Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street is a cultural and architectural treasure. Known today as the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, this majestic edifice and its beloved marble lions have been a defining presence in the city since it opened to the public in 1911. Award-winning designer and illustrator Michael Storrings captures the Library façade during the holiday season in this delightful illustration, including Library lions Patience and Fortitude adorned in their festive finery.
