This Bullet Space Pen’s raw brass composition is made of 85% Copper and 15% Zinc, a copper alloy that possesses antimicrobial properties, which were registered by the EPA in 2008. When closed, the Bullet Space Pen is the perfect size to carry in your wallet, pocket, purse, car glove box, organizer, or toolbox. When opened it's a full-sized, evenly balanced writing instrument.
NYPL's vintage bookbinding stamp featured on this pen was originally used on the spine of books bound in and for The New York Public Library. Built carefully by generations of curators over the past 160 years, NYPL's collections now exceed 50 million items. In combination with the lending collections, it is the most comprehensive library collection ever brought together for the free use of the public.
Developed in the 1960s, Fisher Space Pens feature a sealed and pressurized cartridge that enables the user to write underwater, over grease, at any angle, upside down, three times longer than the average pen, in extreme temperatures ranging from -30°F to +250°F, and in zero gravity.
Carry a piece of NYPL history and celebrate lifelong reading and learning.
* Note *
Pen casing is RAW UNFINISHED BRASS. Each pen has a unique patina that will continue to develop as it responds to the environment, owner's body chemistry, and the way the person handles their pen. It can always be polished to restore its original look.
