Inspired by a wallpaper design from Czech artist, Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939), whose inimitable art nouveau style found fame in Paris in the late 19th century. Mucha produced many paintings, posters, book illustrations and advertisements, as well as designs for jewellery, carpets, wallpaper, and theatre sets.
