Spruce up your space and contain your clutter with a literary landmark. The Stephen A. Schwarzman Building has been the Library’s home since its dedication in 1911. Designed by architects John Merven Carrère and Thomas Hastings, the Beaux-Arts building houses outstanding research collections in the humanities and social sciences, standing for more than a century as an emblem of access to knowledge for all. Connect with the history of a treasured New York institution and support the great work the Library will continue to do for generations.

We’ve repurposed the image on this tray from a handkerchief designed by Tammis Keefe in 1952 that pictures NYPL's iconic flagship building. Tammis Keefe (1913–1960) was an American textile designer. Best known for her colorful and whimsical handkerchiefs and scarves, she worked with the Dorothy Liebes studio and freelanced, creating textile designs, home decorative lines, and wallpaper for a variety of companies.
