Artisans from the Italian leather company Natalizia will demonstrate how leather is treated and manipulated, the process of debossing and gilding, and binding techniques for books and journals.
The Library Shop partners with Natalizia on NYPL-exclusive products that feature vintage stamps from the Library. Here is a rare opportunity to observe their process and to take home a leather item with a personalized monogram!
Please note personalized monogram is only available for in-store purchases. Natalizia Artisans will be in-store from Monday, August 14 through Wednesday, August 16. The Pop-Up will be open from 10 AM to 4 PM. Customers will not be allowed to touch any of the machines and/or tools used by the artisans.
